Adam Pickard is Creative Director, Innovation at Leo Toronto, where he leads the Creative Innovation team: a small group of creative technologists working on AI, creative tech and new ways of making the work. The team splits its time between client projects, internal tools and R&D.

Before Leo he was a Creative Director at Cossette on YouTube, Google and M&M Food Market, an Associate Creative Director at Theo on Rogers, and an art director at agencies including TAXI, John St., FCB, Zulu Alpha Kilo, Publicis and McCann. His work has appeared in D&AD, Communication Arts and the Phaidon book "A Smile in the Mind." The Bourgeois Brass Knuckle, designed with Jonathan Sabine at Chromoly, is in SFMOMA's permanent collection.

In 2019 he began building custom AI models in his free time. Since then he has launched an internal AI chatbot at Theo almost two years before ChatGPT, made a generative logo for Runway, and spoken about AI and creativity at FITC, TWIML and CTRL+SHIFT.

As a child, Adam was curious to the point of being accident-prone. As an adult, this curiosity is visible in the various projects in his portfolio and his travels from North Korea to doing Ayahuasca in the Amazon jungle.
